Holiday Solidarity Initiatives
Objective
Supporting disadvantaged communities.
Solution
In December, the Foundation launched solidarity initiatives in many of the regions where it operates. These programs aim to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable groups in various communities.
Discover how each country contributed:
Spain
In Madrid and Barcelona, volunteers once again participated in Fundación Soñar Despierto’s gift donation initiative. The foundation collects Christmas letters from children in foster care, and volunteers help make the children’s holiday wishes come true.
Panama
In collaboration with Fundación Dreams Panamá, volunteers donated gifts to children in the provinces of San Miguelito and Chiriquí who are awaiting adoption or at risk of social exclusion.
Bogotá
Volunteers in Bogotá provided school kits—including backpacks, notebooks, paints, pencils, and more—to 175 children from Fundación Pocalana, equipping them with essential supplies for their education.
Brazil
In São Paulo, 30 volunteers from LLYC partnered with Lar da Criança Ninho de Paz and Casa Lar Maria Paola to donate hygiene products, clothing, and Christmas gifts.
Chile
In Chile, ten volunteers supported Corporación de Amigos HRR, an organization that houses families with children hospitalized for extended periods. Volunteers donated kitchen appliances and utensils to improve the facilities at the shelter.
Portugal
In Lisbon, volunteers collaborated with VilacomVida to organize and promote a Christmas charity concert. The event aimed to raise funds to open the new “Com Vida” community space.
