Musicians for health

Bells for health.
12 inspiring testimonies

Changing the perception of cancer through the design and ideation of the campaign, the coordination of the organized event, the search and management of success testimonies, in relation to the media and the preparation of communication materials.

Music for Health set up this project with the proposition to install  “Campanas por la Salud”, for free, in oncology departments on request to be played by those who have completed cancer treatment and wish to do so.

To publicise the initiative from Foundation LLYC, we helped them to organize a presentation event in the Espacio Mood de Serrano on the 28th of December, Day of the Innocent Saints, the idea was to “put forward’ the famous campaigns at the end of the year from the 28th- 31st of December. But on this occasion the twelve campaigns were accompanied by twelve moving and inspiring stories of fighters that completed oncology treatment.

To publicise the initiative, we organised a previous campaign on social networks with thanks to the collaboration of major artists such as Maldita Nerea, David Otero, Presuntos Implicados, Tony Aguilar, Mario Picazo, Lluvia Rojo and Enrique Villén, we generated expectation through a countdown to the “chimes”. Finally, on the day of the event, each influencer published another video after the event, thus publicising the Musicians for Health initiative

More than a hundred people representing public administration, hospitals, patient associations, NGOs and research-related organisations attended the event hosted by Teresa Viejo. In addition, we heard the stories of 12 people who told their experiences related to treatment, from an optimistic, motivational and inspiring point of view. Also, experts such as María Herrera, head of the breast service at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos; Cristina Beléndez, paediatric onco haematologist at the Gregorio Marañón and Manuela Martínez, professor of Psychobiology and director of the Master in Applied Neuro Happiness, took part in the event.

Finally, we sang the songGanas de vivir”, together, live. It was composed especially for the initiative by Canciona and which includes such inspiring phrases as “it is not madness to dream of a cure” or “there are many of us, there are more and more of us, together we will win and it will be your turn to sing”.

Impact.

More than 100 people attended the event, which was hosted by journalist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Teresa Viejo; 12 testimonials from people who have beaten cancer; the 7 influencers Toni Aguilar, David Otero, Maldita Nerea, Presuntos Implicados, Mario Picazo and Lluvia Rojo collaborated with the initiative on social media; the hashtag #DaLaCampanada was trending topic on the day of the event; Canciona composed the song "Ganas de Vivir" as the anthem of the initiative; the conversation about MPS gathered 690 impacts on networks and reached more than 70k users.

“While they put me on a drip, I used to like watching a train station through the window, and I imagined stories about the people who were travelling inside. Day by day I can say that I got on the train of hope. Anyone can see life from inside a train, or from a hospital. If you are lucky enough to see life from the train, don't pull back the curtain, because there may be people who need your help".
