The foundation presented its ‘Annual Report 2022: Communicating to transform‘. Throughout last year, a total of 43 social entities were supported (10% more than last year), directly benefiting 859 people, that is, three times more than in 2021.
In this way, almost 40% of the workforce (415 volunteers) dedicated a total of 2,157 additional hours to their working day to carry out seven projects and two initiatives in the 12 countries in which the firm currently operates.
In addition, Fundación José Antonio Llorente’s commitment last year was aligned with various causes and groups that focused on three areas: social inclusion, the environment and support for democracy. The following transformative local and global creative and communication projects were developed, focusing on education, diversity, and gender equality, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
- Among the creative transformation projects is Transparents, whose purpose is to make visible the barriers to socio-labor insertion of the Trans collective in Spain in order to contribute to encourage their recruitment.
- Two global transformation projects have been developed: Voces Futuras, which provides young people at risk of exclusion with soft skills and communication tools; and Mujeres en riesgo de exclusión, through communication training programs to promote female empowerment of women and girls in vulnerable situations.
- In addition to projects related to education and gender equality, the Foundation has collaborated with local entities in five local transformation projects. They have been developed in Spain, Brazil, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
In line with its commitment to join forces with third sector entities, Fundación José Antonio Llorente has joined the ‘Alianza País Pobreza Infantil Cero’, promoted by the Spanish Government’s High Commission against Child Poverty.
María Cura, President of Fundación José Antonio Llorente: “2022 has been a year full of enthusiasm and creativity, new projects and a renewed Board of Trustees. We have fulfilled our purpose of inspiring and transforming through communication, further expanding our impact to generate social value. The Foundation is a source of inspiration for all of us who work at the firm. I want to thank all those who have made it possible, the generosity and empathy of the 415 volunteer LLYCERS who are the main engine to impact and generate a necessary change”.
In the words of Albert Medrán, Director of Fundación José Antonio Llorente: “This year we have boosted the global impact of our projects and initiatives, tripling the number of beneficiaries. We have contributed to the transformation of social realities through the most creative ideas in communication, marketing and public affairs. I would like to highlight the expertise of our professionals who become volunteers to tell stories, amplifying projects that contribute to environmental, social and democracy-supporting causes”.
