5th edition of Storytelling For Social Impact
Objective
Driving the communication efforts of social organizations by training young people.
Solution
In partnership with IE University (Madrid), Storytelling for Social Impact trains students from the Master in Visual and Digital Media program, guided by LLYCERS, to design real-world communication campaigns for local foundations selected by the foundation.
Special thanks to Julio Alonso, Guillermo Lecumberri, Cristina Peñaloza, and former LLYCER Carlota Jiménez for generously sharing their knowledge as instructors during the 2021-2022 academic cycle. Their contributions have been instrumental in equipping students with the tools and resources needed to create awareness campaigns that make a real difference for NGOs.
The project developed by the student team supporting Bokatas was named the winner. Their campaign, “A Wave of Change”, aims to spotlight homelessness and inspire Madrileños with the power of a simple “(H)ola!” and a positive message.
This initiative reinforces our commitment to education and empowers social organizations to amplify their impact through the art of communication and storytelling.
Impact
Fifty-five international students brought their expertise and enthusiasm to enhance the visibility and communication strategies of five social organizations: MapaAyuda, Pan y Peces, Fundación Pequeños Pasos, Bokatas, and Asociación AAQUA.
We’re proud to collaborate as volunteers with the foundation on this project, especially for the meaningful impact it creates for social organizations through communication
