CAPTA II Project

Objective

Empowering women entrepreneurs.

Solution

For the second consecutive year, we are running the CAPTA training sessions in collaboration with Fundación Calicanto, a leading organization in Panama known for developing social programs and actions that promote women’s empowerment.

Through the CAPTA project, Fundación Calicanto provides women at risk of social exclusion the opportunity to improve their lives and communities by offering psycho-emotional tools to cope with new challenges, including workshops on Emotional Intelligence, Virtual Communication, and Resilience, among others.

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and our commitment to support local projects for women at risk of exclusion, our LLYC Foundation volunteers in Panama once again joined forces with Fundación Calicanto to provide training in consumer engagement, branding, and social media management to help women entrepreneurs boost their businesses.

The project has been met with great enthusiasm and participation from the women who have once again benefited from these training sessions provided by Fundación Calicanto.

Impact

Our volunteers in Panama trained 12 women, giving them the opportunity to learn and address questions about communication and brand image.

I’m really glad to have taken part in these training sessions again. They do a wonderful job of promoting women’s empowerment and tackling inequalities. A big thank you to Giuliana Venutolo, Guillermo Tejada, Margorieth Tejeira, and Liliana Madrid for being part of these important conversations.
