DAVID19: the app to fight against COVID-19
Objective
Develop an app for identifying and tracing individuals in areas affected by the spread of COVID-19.
Solution
DAVID19 is an initiative by the LACChain alliance, a regional program from the IDB Innovation Lab, to anonymously collect key data provided by citizens to generate risk maps in the fight against COVID-19.
An international team of volunteers contributed to the project by designing the final phase of the app’s user interface, developing the narrative and key messages, and supporting press outreach and digital strategy.

The project earned significant attention in both print and digital media.
