The Professionals of Roncalli
Objective
Developing new communication tools and strategies to help Roncalli salespeople increase their opportunities to attract partner companies to employ individuals with intellectual disabilities. |
Solution
The main goal was to train five university students from different institutions so they could develop a communication campaign for Fundación Juan XXIII Roncalli, including creation, strategy, actions, materials, deliverables, and evaluation and follow-up recommendations. As these students were still in their final year of university, they required guidance. Thanks to 10 LLYC Foundation volunteers, we were able to bring this project to life. The involvement of part of Estudio Creativo team, the firm’s audiovisual production company, was essential to deliver the materials and go beyond mere proposals.
The students received training in various aspects of communication, such as how to engage with the media, the stages of a communication campaign, how to design and present a communication campaign, and how to implement a digital strategy. We also included a case study testimonial from Juan Llovet, Communications & Sustainability Director at Gonvarri, who spoke on camera about the benefits of hiring individuals with intellectual disabilities and highlighted the professionalism they bring to the company.
Finally, the team created a mock-up to show the return on investment when partnering with Roncalli. The salespeople were impressed by these students’ creativity when they saw the final design.
Impact
Thanks to the program, 11 salespeople acquired new communication resources. Two audiovisual pieces were created to help them showcase the professionalism of individuals with disabilities. An infographic was also designed to help salespeople explain Roncalli’s offerings at a glance. Additionally, 1,100 individuals with intellectual disabilities who currently work or are training at Roncalli gained greater visibility and are now seen as fully qualified professionals.
