Solution
Rede Proteção Solidária focused on producing face masks in Brazil during the pandemic.
This network brought together professionals at the Instituto de Ortopedia e Traumatologia of Hospital das Clínicas and various educational institutions that assisted in production and assembly. The initiative’s strong sense of solidarity also brought together volunteers from diverse fields—including doctors, engineers, educators, journalists, and designers—as well as donations that made production possible.
Through Fundación LLYC, our volunteers in Brazil contributed to this project by creating a website and social media profiles to enhance the initiative’s visibility.
Impact
A dedicated website and social media profiles for Rede Proteção Solidária.
Being part of this project was a special opportunity to contribute to the local fight against COVID-19 and support healthcare workers in such critical times. At its core, this project has been an exercise in empathy.
